Hello, World

Alright, it's up and running. It took longer than expected and came far later in the game than I'd intended (my debut novel came out at the end of 2023), but I finally sat down and set up my author website.

I have some big ideas with this space - the hazard of being a Product Manager during the day. Everyone talks about goals and milestones that signify progress towards them, and so I'll do the same for this site.

1. Bring my written work to the world

I've thought about it, and I've decided I'll just have one goal. Yes, I'll be blogging about writing, books, stories, reviews, games and all of those things I hold dear in time, but in truth, that will be in sole service to getting the word out about my books. Milestones, well, those are more for me to worry about, and so I won't bore the public with the internal metrics I'll be pouring over and breath held.

So. The website. I write Science Fiction and Fantasy. I have one Sci-fi book, Alkaline Dawn, out and available, while I'm in the throes of organising the upcoming release of my Fantasy novel, The Dreadlord's Accountant. You can read more about them here, and over time expect to see an enrichment of each of their worlds through artwork, behind the scenes posts, and more.

If you follow any independent authors across the span of social platforms, you'll see people remark on how tricky and overwhelming the promotion and marketing side of writing is. I can attest to that. I'm being completely honest when I say that writing two full-length novels of over 100k words each was easier than trying to get the world to read them. Hopefully this website helps.
